Our approach / Resurfacing

Elevator resurfacing, considered.

A new finish can change the experience of an elevator without replacing the elevator itself. Resurfacing renews suitable existing decorative surfaces with architectural film, after a project-specific review.

A finish layer, not a structural repair

Architectural film is applied over suitable existing surfaces. The existing substrate must be stable, compatible and prepared for the selected material. Resurfacing does not address elevator mechanics, code issues or structural damage; those belong with the elevator service provider.

Where resurfacing may fit

Depending on existing conditions, scope may include cab wall panels, select interior surfaces, landing door faces and surrounding details. Every property is different. Our project team reviews the surfaces, access and operating requirements before recommending a scope.

  • Elevator cab interiors
  • Elevator doors and landings
  • Coordinated finish choices across multiple cabs

Plan for the building in operation

Installation requires a temporary elevator outage. Resurface Wraps coordinates access and scheduling with property stakeholders; timing depends on scope, site readiness and surface conditions. Resurfacing can reduce demolition compared with replacement of decorative surfaces, but is not suitable for every elevator.
